Graft Matching

Graft matching is one of the added value services provided by MTF through the Technical Services Department. This service is designed to provide orthopaedic surgeons with the best possible anatomically matched allograft for their patient, saving both the surgeon and staff valuable time from procurement to transplantation. Perfectly matched grafts eliminate extensive modifications at the time of transplantation, reducing surgical time. We provide this service for our large graft inventory as well as meniscal and fresh osteochondral allografts. The process for matching is carried out by Jack Barker, R.S.A; OPA-C, Registered Specialist Assistant; Certified orthopaedic Physician Assistant.

We have an extensive inventory of large grafts, including whole, distal proximal or intercalary tissue for osteoarticular, osteochondral and meniscal use. Once the match is achieved, all information and data are discussed with the implanting surgeon for their final acceptance. After the graft is accepted by the surgeon, arrangements are made for graft delivery.
