Greetings MTF,

Before After

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the honor I had to donate 15 lbs. of excess skin to MTF. I weighed almost 400 lbs. and was a size 32 and very ill; on November 8, 2004 I had weight-loss surgery (Duodenal Switch). A year and a half later, on September 20, 2006 I had reconstructive surgery and donated my excess skin to MTF (San Francisco – St. Mary’s Hospital). Both surgeries were very difficult but now I have life abundant and it was a joy to hopefully give back and bring others life in your organization. I also remember that I was asked if I ever wanted to speak about my experience and I never forgot that I told you “yes” I would. So all that to say if you ever need a speaker to bring awareness to the opportunities weight-loss patients have to donate their skin - please let me know. I would be more than happy to speak about my experience. Life is truly a joy now and part of my journey was the honor of helping you.
