Through the generosity of tens of thousands of selfless donor families, the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation—the nation's largest tissue bank—provides over 300,000 donated grafts to grateful patients every year.

MTF is a non-profit service organization dedicated to providing quality tissue through a commitment to excellence in education, research, recovery and care for recipients, donors and their families.

MTF was founded in 1987 by surgeons who understood the critical requirements needed to forge a world-class tissue bank; maintain the highest ethical standards when approaching families of potential donors; ensure the strictest safety standards during tissue recovery, processing and storage; and establish complete traceability to enhance safety for recipients. MTF assisted the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) in developing the guidelines that govern tissue transplantation protocols today. We are accredited by the AATB, follow FDA guidelines and are ISO 9001 certified.

Our singular focus on the respectful stewardship of the donated gift has shaped MTF over the years. Today, we are a national non-profit organization performing a vital mission that literally changes people's lives every single day.
